The invasives species council has been working with The Australia Institute on fire ant impacts calculated for each Queensland electorate.
The invasive species council have also launched a page where any Queensland resident can enter their address to get their local impact data in a format they can send to state election candidates to express their concerns.
The Queensland opposition has committed to implementing key inquiry recommendations and strengthening the fire ant program. So far this is the only fire ant election commitment related to fire ants.
