Have your say on the Draft Sunshine Coast Council Local Government Area Biosecurity Plan
The Draft Sunshine Coast Council Local Government Area Biosecurity Plan establishes a framework for cooperative and coordinated invasive plant and animal management.
The draft plan targets the highest priority invasive plants and animals through feasible management activities and available resources.
A number of catchment focus groups are being held to broaden participants understanding of the draft Plan, the risk based approach used to identify priority species and to seek feedback into the proposed catchment management responses.
Spaces to these workshops are limited, so if you live or work within the Sunshine Coast Council Local Government Area and are interested in participating please RSVP by 31 August 2017 by emailing biosecurityplan@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
The draft plan can be viewed on council’s website, where your members can also share their thoughts with us.
