What a way to launch a new plant fair!
Greenlife Industry Queensland’s very first Greenlife Plant Fair has been a fantastic success, with 1,800 paying adults attending the inaugural event at Morayfield Sports & Events Centre on Saturday 17 October.
The event brought together passionate plant lovers, growers, nurseries and allied businesses for a day of plant shopping, discovery and community connection. And judging by the feedback, Queenslanders certainly love their plants!
Strong turnout, strong sales and happy stallholders
Our stallholders were impressed with the turnout, with feedback highlighting strong customer interest and pleasing volumes of stock sold throughout the day. For GIQ, this is exactly what Greenlife Plant Fairs are designed to achieve – creating more opportunities for our industry to connect directly with consumers, promote quality plants and support the businesses that grow and supply them.
The numbers speak for themselves
Our marketing campaign also delivered encouraging results for a brand-new event:
-
1,800 paying adult visitors attended
-
1,500+ people registered their interest on our Facebook event
-
72k people reached through Facebook advertising
-
5.7k ad clicks (all), with a reported 7.9% click-through rate
-
2,500 views on one of our promotional reels
These results provide a strong starting point as we continue building awareness of Greenlife Plant Fairs throughout South East Queensland.
Thank you for helping us grow!
A huge thank you to all our stallholders for embracing this new event, bringing along an incredible selection of plants and products, and helping create such a welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks also go to our event sponsor,
ShapeScaper, for their support and impressive product display, which attracted plenty of interest from visitors.
Where to next?
We’re not slowing down! Our next Greenlife Plant Fair will be held at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday 21 November 2026, with planning already underway for six additional events across South East Queensland in 2027, including a return to Morayfield.
Our vision is simple: bring more plants to more people while creating valuable sales and promotional opportunities for our members.
